Another year has arrived. The one thing that hasn’t changed very much is that I’m in the process of publishing the work that I’ve been doing over the last couple of years. Consequently, I’ve removed all of my rough drafts and work in progress so as not to confuse or annoy any editors. I am happy enough to share with you links to some of the places that I’ve been published in the last few months, and I hope to expand this list in the coming year. Already there are at least seven more journals (both online and print) that will be publishing my work later on this fall.
I do intend to get back into the habit of writing, and I especially hope to focus on finishing up my latest novel. I’m especially looking forward to April and the fiendishly difficult thirty days of poetry that the month brings. But for now, check these poems out, and if you like my work (or even if you don’t), be sure to read each journal cover to cover.
My poem, “Afraid of the Dark,” was nominated for a 2012 Pushcart Prize, so I’m happy about that. I’m sad that I didn’t get into 50 journals this past year. That was my goal, but perhaps I can reach it this year.
